The day we began in search of Humpback Whales to see the great spectacle that they offer when mating... These large marine mammals in search of the warm waters of our land come here to procreate. One of the most beautiful excursions in the Dominican Republic is a visit to the Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Samana Bay.

Every year, between December and April, Humpback whales come to breed in the warm waters off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Until recently it was believed that only 85% of Atlantic Humpback Whales born in Dominican waters return annually to mate and reproduce. But a recent study revealed that all populations of the North Atlantic come to reproduce in our beautiful warm waters. After our wonderful encounter with these precious mammals, we go to the Famous Cayo Levantado Island - also knowned as BACARDI ISLAND - to enjoy the beach and its turquoise waters recognized as one of the most beautiful beach in the Caribbean.
